Concepción Temple
The first chapel was in the terminal where the grotto of the heart of Jesus is located. The first temple was made of wood and tin, in 1968 the chapel was demolished and the new one was built, which is still standing today.
When it was built it was very narrow, it is said that the church had one more cupola, but it was removed to adjust the entrance of the altar.
The altar is by Juan Rafael Chacón Solares, Herediano sculptor, was restored in 2018, by instruction of Father Edgar Muñoz who hired Rafael Acuña and was in charge of restoring, with a duration of 3 - 4 months.
The gold leaf on the altar was placed by Edgar Rodriguez, a Ramon native, authorized by the Curia.
On December 8, the feast of the Immaculate Conception is celebrated. It is a tradition to "shout" since 2014, a custom shared by Father Edgar Muñoz.
The Virgin precedes the procession, with the faithful dressed in typical costume, cimarrona, clowns, bombs are dedicated to the Virgin and streamers are given to her by the people to encourage the merriment.
Masses are celebrated on Sundays at 11 am.
