Café El Rey S.A. was founded in 1957 by Don Miguel Sanchez Picado and Don Jose Mora Obando, the company was born in San Pedro, its main resources were the courage and love that the families of both partners gave to develop superior quality products.

In the 60's Café El Rey S.A. continued its development in Zapote, where it operated for more than fifteen years, later and due to its growing size, it was necessary to move the operation to Curridabat, where it currently operates in an area of more than 4 hectares.

We have had the pleasure of sharing our coffee with all of Costa Rica for more than 65 years, becoming an authentic Costa Rican tradition, evolving into what today is a great coffee family specialized to satisfy the most demanding tastes.

Year after year, experience, hard work and a great passion for our coffee have allowed us to generate the most exquisite and exciting combinations of the best Costa Rican coffee beans.
